1. be called something

   be called sth

   This means to have a name or to be known by a particular name.

   My friend is called Sarah.

2. half past one

   пів на другу/третю/четверту тощо

   half past one/two/three, etc.

   A way to say the time when it is 30 minutes after the hour.

   The meeting starts at half past two in the afternoon.

3. I am Spanish

   Я іспанець/вчитель тощо

   I am Spanish/a teacher, etc.

   Used to say what your nationality or job is.

   I am Spanish and I am a teacher.

4. in the morning

   вранці

   During the early part of the day, from when you wake up until around noon.

   I drink coffee in the morning.

5. last night

   минулої ночі

   The night that just finished, before today.

   I watched a movie last night.

6. last week

   минулого тижня/року/понеділка

   last week/year/Monday, etc.

   The week, year, or day before now.

   I saw my friend last week and we had coffee together.

7. more beautiful

   красивіший/складніший/легше тощо

   more beautiful/difficult/easily, etc.

   Words that compare two things by saying one has more of a quality than the other.

   This book is more difficult than that one.

8. need to do something

   треба щось зробити

   need to do sth

   You have to do something because it is important or necessary.

   I need to buy milk for breakfast tomorrow.

9. next week

   наступного тижня/року/понеділка тощо

   next week/year/Monday, etc.

   The week, year, or day that comes after this one.

   I will see you next Monday at the coffee shop.

10. not very good

    не дуже

    not very good/tall/happy, etc.

    A way to say someone or something is slightly bad or below average in some way.

    The food was not very good, so we didn't enjoy the dinner.

11. one o'clock

    перша/друга/третя година тощо

    one/two/three, etc. o'clock

    A way to say what time it is using numbers and the word o'clock.

    School starts at nine o'clock in the morning.

12. things

    речі

    Objects or items that you have or use in your daily life.

    I put my things in my bag before going to school.
